The Importance of getting a Car Alignment

What is a Car Alignment and why is it Important?

If you're a Euro car owner, then you know that taking care of your investment is important. Part of taking care of your car is making sure that your vehicle’s suspension is always in alignment. Keep reading to learn more about why!

What exactly is a Car Alignment?

Alignment refers to an adjustment of a vehicle’s suspension – the suspension is what connects your vehicle to its wheels. So, it is not an adjustment of the tires or wheels themselves. The key to proper alignment is adjusting the angles of the tires which affects where and how they make contact with the road. A proper car alignment and tire balancing will correct uneven distribution of weight in the wheels eliminating vibrations.

Why is a Car Alignment important?

It's important to get a proper Euro car alignment because it will help your high-performance car perform at its best. When your car is properly aligned, it will be able to drive straight, turn correctly, your brakes will work more effectively, and you will notice less gas consumption. Not to mention, an aligned car’s tires will also last longer because the tires won't wear down unevenly ruining those high-performance tires!

How often should I get a Car Alignment?

Unless you hit something, cars often don’t go out of alignment immediately, instead it happens over a period of time. This makes it harder for the driver to pick up on a misaligned suspension. For this reason, it’s a good idea to add an alignment to your European vehicle’s yearly maintenance – especially if you live in a pothole-riddled area of Houston. Side note – you should always get an alignment done after any major suspension modifications or repairs. This may seem like a lot, but remember that maintenance is key for any high-performance vehicle to keep it performing at its best!
